Cuellitos Spooky 🎃✨

Spooky Collars 🎃✨

Hello to all the Pawtrons in the house and their humans! Today I bring you a post full of creativity and fun. With Halloween right around the corner, it's the perfect time to explore how to transform the patterns you already know into something spooky and original. Using the Pawfect Accessory Set collar foot and based on the sewing tutorial, I'm going to share three spooky collar ideas that will make your pup stand out in this jawline.

The most exciting thing about working with our patterns is not just what you can create, but everything you can imagine. Each pattern is simply the initial canvas for your creativity. By adapting and customizing these designs, you are creating unique pieces that not only reflect your personal style, but also perfectly fit your pup's needs and personality.

Whether you're making a spooky Halloween collar, a fun accessory for a party, or something practical for everyday use, the possibilities are endless. Through sewing, you can transform a basic pattern into something extraordinary, giving fabric a new life and making each project a true expression of love and creativity.

So don't limit yourself to just the original design; feel free to experiment and explore new ideas. The true value of our patterns lies in their ability to inspire you and allow you to create memorable moments together with your furry friend.

The process to modify and make your own spooky collar

Start by using a sheet of tracing paper or wax paper to trace the shape of the neck rest. This will allow you to visualize the base for creating your new neck shape.

This is the perfect time to let your creativity run wild and design the shapes that inspire you the most. Use objects and rulers to ensure that the lines are as precise as possible. Remember that you will need a seam allowance, since this pattern will be flipped.

Once your new patterns are ready it's time to cut out your favorite fabric and start sewing following the basic instructions in the Pawfect Accessory Set sewing tutorial.

For one of the collars, I used batting and topstitched it with metallic thread from Gutermann (we love those threads!). Make sure to sew slowly to avoid breaking the thread. At this point, you can opt for two styles of topstitching: one that resembles a spider web and another that evokes the wings of a bat. The possibilities are endless!

The second option is to use the same pattern as above but without topstitching and in a very Jaliwinesque fabric. I used a skirt that I don't use but I love the print and I think it was perfect for this project.

The third option is inspired by pumpkin costumes. You can choose to make petals, circles or, as in my case, a more abstract leaf. When you make this type of seams, it is important to trim the seam allowance and cut the tips so that you can turn it correctly.

Another idea that occurred to me but I didn't carry out was to take a pom pom (like the one on the pumpkin collar) and put lots of little googly eyes on it, make the shape of spider legs for the collar and make a collar inspired by these beautiful insects.

And that's it! Here are the results of these three Spooky Neckwear Ideas!

Personally this was my favorite, the way the stitching shines gives it a unique touch.

And obviously the most divine bbs modeling the little collars:

We hope you feel encouraged to create your own designs and give yourself the opportunity to unleash all your creativity! We love that you share your results with us, so don't hesitate to send them <3

Happy Jawilin and Day of the Dead!
